This is my personal perspective on the things I have witnessed and learned in regards to migrant farm work and food justice. Issues revolving around farm workers are often portrayed vaguely through photography, info-graphics, and articles; I want to capture the real emotions of these people, rather than just images, so I dedicated my time to creating work that is surreal. I believe that surrealism illustrates truths that reality cannot. In order to take my art further, I have animated my work with subtle motion. I wish to add an eerie timelessness that portrays the never-ending loop of the struggles lived with by countless generations. This series is inspired both by personal experiences and stories that have been shared with me.
