Branding messages have permeated almost every aspect of our lives. Whether we like it or not, we are constantly being bombarded with messages on a daily basis. As a designer I have come to understand that we largely act as the gatekeepers to the kinds of messages that are being conveyed to the worldwide audience. Unbrand is a designer focused, user-driven grass roots movement to change the way the consumer thinks of the brands around them. The Unbrand site acts as a completely democratic and transparent platform for users to produce and launch various campaigns targeted at deconstructing consumer brands and to shed light on the globalized processes behind them.
